🎮Game Mechanics
Akarun combines the thrill of competitive running with real-time cryptocurrency market dynamics, creating a unique gaming experience that is both engaging and financially rewarding. The core gameplay revolves around players participating in virtual runs where the performance of their chosen cryptocurrencies determines the speed and success of their in-game characters, known as Akarunners.
Run Setup
Selection of Akarunners: Players select their Akarunners, each representing a specific cryptocurrency. The choice of cryptocurrency impacts the Akarunner's performance in the run based on real-time market data.
Track Selection: The selection of tracks for each run is determined by a sequential process. For example, if there are three tracks, the sequence is as follows: Run 1 on Track A, Run 2 on Track B, Run 3 on Track C, Run 4 on Track A, Run 5 on Track B, and so on. Track owners earn rewards whenever their tracks are used in runs.
Buy-In: Each player chooses the value for participation in the run. The value is specified in USD and is paid with the equivalent amount in AKA tokens at the current market price. Therefore, the number of AKA tokens required can vary from run to run based on the market value of AKA at that specific moment.
Run Dynamics
Real-Time Market Influence: The speed and performance of each Akarunner are directly influenced by the real-time performance of the associated cryptocurrency. If the chosen cryptocurrency performs well in the market, the corresponding Akarunner gains a speed advantage.
Demo Mode: In this mode, players can run without staking real tokens. This mode is ideal for practice and familiarization with game mechanics. No real AKA tokens are won or lost in Demo mode.
Real Mode: Players stake real AKA tokens to participate in runs. The outcome of the run determines the distribution of the staked tokens, with the winner taking a significant share.
Rewards and Incentives
Winning and Losing: In Real mode, the winner of a run receives 1.8 times their staked amount. The remaining 0.2 times the staked amount is distributed as fees to the NFT holders involved (two Akarunners and one track) and the gAKA holders.
NFT Holders: Owners of the Akarunners and tracks used in runs receive a percentage of the rewards from each run, promoting active investment in the game's NFTs.
gAKA Holders: gAKA tokens, created by wrapping AKA tokens within the Akarun DAO, grant holders voting rights in the DAO. Additionally, gAKA holders earn a share of the proceeds from every run, rewarding their participation in governance.
In-Game Economy
AKA Tokens: AKA is the primary utility token used within the Akarun ecosystem. Players use AKA tokens to participate in runs, purchase NFTs, and engage in other in-game activities. Additionally, new characters can be unlocked by purchasing skins with AKA tokens.
Token Acquisition: Players can acquire AKA tokens through in-game purchases, participation in runs, marketplace transactions, and by purchasing them on exchanges where they are listed.
Mirroring System: Actions and transactions within the Akarun game (Web2) are mirrored on the blockchain (Web3), ensuring transparency and integrating traditional gaming experiences with blockchain benefits.
User Interface and Experience
Mobile and Desktop Accessibility: Akarun is primarily designed as a mobile game, offering an immersive and engaging experience on both iOS and Android devices. However, a limited-feature desktop version is also available, providing players with flexibility and accessibility across different platforms.
Onboarding: The onboarding process in Akarun is extremely intuitive, ensuring a smooth and seamless entry into the game. Akarun for mobile, available on both Apple and Android, features classic mobile game dynamics that are familiar and easy to understand for players. This intuitive design ensures that new players can quickly grasp the game's mechanics and start enjoying their experience.
